Nesting and quoting for Gweike fiber lasers (CypCut)

Gweike's GA-series fiber lasers are run from CypCut, according to Gweike's own operation manual. Zorocut exports a CypCut-ready DXF per sheet: R2000, mm, lines, arcs and circles on five ZC_ layers. Status: beta.

Short answer

Gweike's operation manual for its GA-series fiber lasers (LF3015GA and its larger siblings) runs the machine from CypCut, Bochu's control software, with a CypCut motion control card. So in Zorocut you set Controller CypCut: it nests and prices the job and writes one DXF R2000 per sheet in mm, with only lines, arcs and circles on five ZC_ layers that you map to CypCut layers once. Status: beta — built to CypCut's documented import, not yet imported on a Gweike.

What Gweike's manual says

  • It is the operation manual for the GA-series fiber cutting machine, dated 2019, listed as the LF3015GA Operation Manual in the download section of Gweike's English site.
  • Its software chapter walks through CypCut: import the drawing, let CypCut pre-process it, set the process, plan the path, check and cut.
  • On import CypCut removes very small shapes and repeated lines, merges connected lines, smooths and sorts; unclosed shapes are flagged in red.
  • Lead lines, kerf compensation and uncut micro-segments are set in CypCut's Process Settings, and the Layer Parameter Settings dialog holds the cutting parameters.
  • Its troubleshooting chapter checks for the CypCut motion control card and asks for CypCut 6.3.702.x or newer on one card series.

Gweike's GA series

Gweike's GA page lists the LF3015GA, LF4020GA and LF6025GA with working areas of 3000 × 1500, 4000 × 2000 and 6000 × 2500 mm and laser powers from 1000 W up to an optional 8000 W. Gweike's newer lines are not covered by the manual we read, so look at the screen before you set the controller.

What Zorocut does before the file reaches CypCut

  • Cleans the customer's DXF and reports every repair: small gaps closed, duplicates removed, units read or detected, text and dimensions kept off the cut.
  • Nests true-shape on the sheet sizes you stock and prices every part and the order before a sheet is loaded.
  • Writes the parts in cut order — holes before the outline — so CypCut imports a sensible sequence it can still re-sort.

Settings in Zorocut

  1. Machine tab: kind Fiber laser, your power in W, Controller CypCut.
  2. Export profile DXF R2000; R12 only if CypCut refuses the file.
  3. In CypCut's layer mapping: ZC_CUT to the cut layer for the material, ZC_MARK to the first-processed layer, ZC_LABEL and ZC_SHEET to layer 0, which is never cut.
  4. Copy the sheet files to the machine PC, add lead-ins, kerf compensation and micro-joints in CypCut, simulate and cut.

The mapping, step by step, is in Export DXF for CypCut and FSCUT; everything about CypCut itself, its limits included, is on the CypCut page.

Not verified yet

  • No Gweike import has been done with a Zorocut file. Cut a scrap sheet first.
  • The manual is from 2019 and covers the GA series; which software and which CypCut version newer Gweike models ship with is not stated on Gweike's site.
  • The open questions on the CypCut page apply here too: no stated DXF version limit, and no stated handling of blocks, splines or the $INSUNITS unit.

Frequently asked questions

Which Zorocut setting do I use for a Gweike?

Controller CypCut, if your machine's screen shows CypCut as Gweike's GA manual describes. If it shows another program, choose that one, or Other.

CypCut can nest too — why use Zorocut?

CypCut's built-in nest is built to run at the machine, and its report estimates a cost but makes no customer quote. Zorocut nests and quotes in the office while the machine cuts. The full comparison is on Zorocut vs CypCut nesting.

Is Zorocut affiliated with Gweike or Bochu?

No. Gweike makes the machine and Bochu (Friendess) makes CypCut; the names are used here only to describe compatibility.
