Founding Shop terms

Who can apply

A business (a company or a registered sole trader) that owns or runs a working fiber laser or plasma table, or another machine that cuts sheet from DXF files. One seat per company. Machine resellers and importers, makers of competing software and our own team cannot hold a seat.

Zorocut is not offered in the sanctioned countries listed in the Terms of use, and neither is this program.

How seats are given

Seats are given by review, in groups (waves) of about 25, not first come first served. We aim for a mix of countries, machines and controllers, and we prefer shops that show a real machine and quote by hand or by spreadsheet today. We answer every application within 7 days.

There are 100 seats in all. The number of seats taken shown on zorocut.com is counted from our database. If a seat comes back to the pool, we say so on the page and offer it to the waitlist first.

An application that is not chosen stays on the waitlist. Applying, being chosen or not, never costs anything.

What a Founding Shop gets

The Shop plan for your organisation, with the 3 machines it includes, free, with no card and no subscription, for as long as Zorocut Nest is offered for sale by us or by anyone who takes Zorocut over. New Shop features are included. If the plans are renamed or rearranged, your organisation moves to the plan that replaces Shop, never to a lower one.

More machines than the 3 included are bought at the normal price, like any Shop customer.

If Zorocut is ever discontinued, we give at least 12 months' notice, then a permanent Offline licence for the last version for each machine your seat covers. The Offline licence runs without an internet connection and without our servers.

We do not promise new features on a schedule, or support beyond what the Shop plan includes.

What we ask, for 12 weeks

For the first 12 weeks after your seat is given: use Zorocut on real jobs; answer three short surveys (about 3 to 5 minutes each, in weeks 2, 6 and 12); and tell us when something does not work, from Help in Zorocut Nest, in the community or by e-mail.

Leave the machine reports of Zorocut Nest switched on during those 12 weeks (the setting “Send this machine’s totals to my account” on each machine). They contain the machine, the controller and totals such as exports, sheets and cut time, never your drawings. It is how we see that the seat is in use without asking you.

After the 12 weeks you owe us nothing more. We may ask a few optional questions twice a year.

Your drawings stay on your computer. You never have to send us a DXF; if you choose to send one with a problem report, we use it only to fix that problem and delete it afterwards.

When a seat can go back to the pool

If in the first 30 days there is no real export from Zorocut Nest and no survey answer, we write to you. If there is still none by day 45, the seat can go back to the pool and your account returns to the Free plan. Write us one line if you need more time (a holiday, a machine repair) and you get it.

A seat ends at any time if it is shared outside your company, resold, or used in a way the Terms of use do not allow. You can also give your seat back at any time.

Apart from that, once given, a seat is not taken back.

Quotes, logos and posts

Giving us a quote, your logo or a case study is optional and never a condition of the seat. We ask separately, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Anything we publish from a Founding Shop says that the shop uses Zorocut free as a Founding Shop. If you write about Zorocut yourself, please say the same.

Your data

The application asks only what the review needs (company, country, registration number or website, machine, controller, how you quote today). Applications that are not chosen are deleted after 6 months unless you ask to stay on the waitlist longer. We send marketing e-mail only if you agreed to it separately. The privacy policy covers the rest; questions to [email protected].

Changes

We will not change these terms to take away what a Founding Shop already has. Other changes are announced by e-mail at least 30 days before they apply.
